ABOUT
In 1958, Al Burns founded A.H. Burns Company, having worked with Metherall & McCausland in Quincy for many years. Initially operating from Al's basement in Wollaston, the company moved to a storefront on Beale St. in 1967. John Marani joined Al from the same company and later took over ownership when Al retired in 1970.
As the company expanded, it focused on service work, new construction, and renovations. John Marani III, John's son, joined the business in 1980 as an apprentice, eventually assuming ownership in 1992 when John Marani retired.
Due to continued growth, the company relocated from Quincy to Greenwood Ave. in Weymouth and later to its current location on Weymouth St. in Rockland.
A.H. Burns Co., Inc. has maintained its core values throughout the 21st century, prioritizing customer needs and delivering high-quality products. Its collective experience and commitment to these values have contributed to its success. John Bierman returned as Vice President in 2018, further expanding the company with an estimating, project management, and design division.
In 2024, John Marani III retired to spend time with his family and pursue hobbies such as traveling, golf, pickleball, and hiking.
John Bierman assumed operations at A.H. Burns Co., Inc., continuing to offer customers the same dedication, service, and expertise.
